Important:
Important Information About Your GP Practice
We are writing to you as a registered patient of Bousfield Health Centre / Bousfield Surgery. To let you know that another practice Stanley Medical Centre is planning to move into the same building as your practice. This letter explains what is changing and how you can ask questions or share your thoughts.
What is changing?
We want to move Stanley Medical Centre from: 60 Stanley Road, Liverpool, L5 2QA to Bousfield Health Centre, Westminster Road, Liverpool, L4 4PP
These two places are very close, less than 0.3 miles apart. You might already know Stanley Medical Centre if you’ve been there for other services or evening/weekend appointments.
The two centres already work closely together and share staff and services.
Why is Stanley Medical Centre moving?
The lease at Stanley Road is ending. The GPs haven’t been able to agree on a new lease that is affordable for them and the NHS.
Since Bousfield Health Centre has space and the practices already work together, we think moving Stanley Medical Centre here is the best option. This way, they can keep offering care to their patients without closing the practice.
When will this happen?
We don’t have a final date yet. First, we want to hear what patients and others think. If the move is approved, it is expected to happen in August 2025. We will send you another letter with more details once plans are confirmed.
How will this affect you?
You will still be registered with the same GP practice.
The services you get will stay the same.
The staff, opening hours, phone number, email, and website will not change.
You do not have to take any action as a result of this letter, and you should continue to use your surgery as normal.
If you have any questions or want to share any comments about this, you can contact us in any of the following ways:
